Systems Analyst Certificate

This certificate is designed for IT professionals who are interested in pursuing further professional development in the Systems Analysis area. Students in the program will develop the skills to manage information systems projects and learn different information systems development methodologies.


Requirements

The following courses are required to complete the Systems Analyst graduate certificate:

  • IT 432 Systems Analysis and Design
  • IT 463 Information Technology Project Management
  • IT 478 Advanced Database Management

This graduate certificate program assumes an undergraduate knowledge base in Systems Development, Database Processing, and programming in a high-level programming language such as C, C++, or Java, which students with computer-related undergraduate degrees will typically have acquired. Students lacking sufficient background may be admitted to the program but should expect to complete some or all of the following courses with a grade of "A" or "B" before enrolling in graduate-level courses.

  • IT 261: Systems Development I
  • IT 378.05: Database Processing
