The School of Information Technology (IT) offers many opportunities for IT students that provide academic enrichment, professional development, recognition of achievement and financial aid. The School encourages students to take advantage of these opportunities.
Students enrolled in IT courses are encouraged to participate in student organizations related to their professional aspirations. Several opportunities are available to IT students. Students may participate in one or more of these student organizations.
Professional Practice / Internships
IT students are required to complete a Professional Practice / Internship (PP/I) experience as a component of their academic program. The PP/I experience consists of supervised, professional work experience, in a learning environment, arranged by the student and approved by the School. The PP/I experience provides students the opportunity for professional development and the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a professional environment. Scholarships & Awards
Both need and merit based scholarships and departmental awards are available to incoming IT students and students currently enrolled in degree programs within the School of Information Technology.
