Current Undergraduate Student Scholarships & Awards

There is one application for all undergraduate scholarships and awards. Applications must be submitted on-line. The on-line application submission must be completed in one session. Applications must be submitted by Friday, February 10, 2017. All scholarships are for an academic year unless otherwise specified.


Scholarships:

Jan Cook Scholarship:

The Jan Cook Scholarship was established in honor of Jan Cook, one of the founding faculty members of the School.  Two $750 scholarships will be awarded. Recipients must be IT majors who have a record of accomplishment at ISU, have demonstrated academic achievement, and have demonstrated commitment to service.

Caterpillar Foundation:

Caterpillar is a valued partner of the School of Information Technology and has contributed to the success of students and programs alike. The Caterpillar Foundation supports one $2500 scholarship for undergraduate students.

Progressive Impressions International Scholarships:

Four $2000 Progressive Impressions International Scholarships will be awarded to a combination of currently enrolled undergraduate IT students and incoming freshman or transfer students each fall semester. You must have some unmet financial need to receive the scholarship, but preference is given to students with a record of high academic achievement.

State Farm Companies Foundation:

The State Farm Companies Foundation will award five $4000 scholarships to undergraduate students for the academic year. Preference will be given to freshman or transfer students accepted into an IT major for Fall 2015. Scholarships are for the following areas of study.

  • Mobile Smart Phone/Tablet Development
  • Enterprise Computing Systems (Mainframe Support)
  • Security/Network Defense
  • Java Programming
  • Wide and Local Area Networking

 

Awards:

The School will consider applicants for the following awards. Students may also be recommended for these awards by faculty members.

  • Outstanding Sophomore, Junior & Senior
  • Distinguished Freshman, Sophomore, Junior & Senior
