Dr. Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the School of Information Technology at Illinois State University. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2008 from the University of Western Ontario in Biomedical/Computer Engineering Science and Master's degree in 2002 from the University of Waterloo in Computer Science. He also has Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computational Mathematics and Applied Software from Jilin University. Since receiving his Ph.D., Dr. Zhang had held researcher and software engineer positions in national research labs of Canada and software industry. Prior to joining Illinois State University, he was an Assistant Professor at the State University of New York at Canton. Dr. Zhang also holds an adjunct faculty position at the Western University.
